Gary Chase has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of Viasat, a global leader in satellite communications, with effect from September 16, 2024. Chase, who has accumulated a wealth of experience from his time at Delta Air Lines, will succeed Shawn Duffy, who will transition to the position of Chief Accounting Officer. Chase served in numerous critical capacities during his twelve-year tenure at Delta, including Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President of Operational Finance. Viasat’s Chairman and CEO, Mark Dankberg, praised Chase's operational insights and his familiarity with the company as a former customer. Dankberg also acknowledged Duffy's decade-long contribution as CFO, during which Viasat’s revenue tripled to $4.5 billion.
