Alphabet Appoints Anat Ashkenazi as CFO Amid Strategic Expansion

Alphabet has named Anat Ashkenazi as its new Senior Vice President of Google and Alphabet and Chief Financial Officer, effective July 31, 2024. At Eli Lilly and Company, Ashkenazi holds the positions of Executive Vice President and CFO, and brings with her over twenty years of expertise in financial leadership within the multinational pharmaceutical company. Her tenure at Eli Lilly includes a number of significant jobs, such as CFO of Lilly Research Laboratories and executive positions in international divisions including Research & Development, Diabetes, and Oncology.

Ashkenazi’s headquarters will be in the Bay Area, and she will answer directly to Alphabet and Google CEO, Sundar Pichai. Pichai expressed confidence in Ashkenazi's ability to steer Alphabet's financial strategies amidst a pivotal era of technological innovation. Google, founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, is Alphabet’s flagship entity, renowned globally for products like Search, Ads, Chrome, Cloud, YouTube, and Android. 

Ashkenazi graduated from the Hebrew University with a BA in economics and business administration and Tel Aviv University with an MBA, and is commended for her operational knowledge and strategic insight.
