CLA Names New Chief Data Officer and CFO

Ray Price, Jr. has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA), one of the largest accounting firms in the United States. Additionally, Spencer Lourens has been promoted to the newly established position of Chief Data Officer (CDO). CLA, known for its industry-focused wealth advisory, digital, audit, tax, consulting, and outsourcing services, is making significant investments in top talent to drive growth and innovation. Jen Leary, CEO of CLA, emphasized the firm's commitment to better-serving clients by assembling a "dream team" of leaders, with the addition of Price and Lourens highlighting this strategic focus.

Price brings a wealth of experience to CLA, having previously served as CFO of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Private Wealth Management. Price will lead CLA’s financial operations, guiding the firm’s fiscal strategy and growth planning. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Old Dominion University and an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte. Lourens, with a Ph.D. in biostatistics and extensive expertise in data science and AI, will oversee CLA's data management and strategy as part of the firm's $500 million investment in technology.
