Remitly Global, a leading provider of digital financial services with a global reach across more than 170 countries, has appointed Vikas Mehta as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 19, 2024. Mehta succeeds Hemanth Munipalli, who is stepping down for family reasons but will assist with the transition until September 30, 2024. Remitly, known for its digitally native, cross-border payments app that offers a fast, reliable, and transparent money movement experience, is poised for further growth and expansion under Mehta's financial leadership.
Mehta brings over 25 years of global experience across fintech, software, and e-commerce to Remitly, having previously held CFO roles at Anaplan and Nike Direct, as well as significant leadership positions at Walmart, Microsoft, and PayPal. In his most recent role as CFO of Komodo Health, Mehta was instrumental in scaling revenue and improving margins. Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Mehta emphasized his commitment to leveraging his expertise to drive financial management, strategy, and operational excellence at Remitly. Mehta expressed that, as an immigrant, he personally relates to the challenges faced by many of Remitly’s customers and looks forward to advancing the company’s mission of transforming lives through trusted financial services that transcend borders.
