Austin’s emergence as a growing business hub is due in large part to several factors, including the city’s strong talent pool, innovative spirit, and its focus on developing a diverse landscape that encompasses a variety of sectors, including technology, manufacturing, healthcare, and education. Financial professionals are drawn to the city’s numerous opportunities, whether it be providing strategic guidance for emerging startups, or leading financial departments for some of the world’s most prominent corporations. The individuals on this year’s list are key contributors in this community, driving growth for their companies while contributing to Austin’s thriving economy. 

Among this year’s awardees, we recognize Todd Wilson, CFO of Red Robin, who leads all finance and accounting functions of this popular food chain. Next, we have Jason Friesen, CFO of Kendra Scott, whose background includes managing the financial strategy of billion-dollar corporations. Another notable honoree on the list is Jennifer Parker-Snider, CFO of Spycloud, who has over 30 years of global financial and operational leadership, dedicating over 20 years to the cybersecurity industry. 

The CFOs on this year’s list are financial leaders in one of the country’s most dynamic business landscapes, each contributing unique skill sets, backgrounds, and expertise, while all sharing in the common goal of driving success for their companies and the city as a whole. 1. Wissam Jabre
Chief Financial Officer, Western Digital

Wissam Jabre is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Western Digital, responsible for the company’s finance, accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, internal audit, and investor relations. Western Digital designs, designs, manufactures, and sells data technology products, including data storage devices, data center systems, and cloud storage services, from the invention of the first hard drive to recent advancements in 3D NAND. 

Jabre has more than 20 years of financial experience, specifically in the semiconductor industry. Most recently, he was CFO at Dialog Semiconductor. Before joining Dialog Semiconductor in 2016, Jabre served as corporate vice president of finance at Advanced Micro Devices. From 2004 to 2014, Jabre also held various finance positions during his 10-year tenure at Freescale Semiconductor, including vice president and chief procurement officer, vice president of global pricing, and chief financial officer of the Networking & Multimedia Group. Jabre has his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the American University of Beirut and an MBA from Columbia Business School, New York.

 

2. Carissa Kell
Chief Financial Officer, Finastra

Carissa Kell is the Chief Financial Officer of Finastra, leading the company’s global finance organization and key supporting functions, including financial planning and analysis, treasury, accounting, tax, investor relations, finance transformation and procurement, as well as sales operations. A global provider of financial software applications and marketplaces, Finastra launched the leading open platform for innovation, FusionFabric.cloud, in 2017. The company serves institutions of all sizes, providing software solutions and services across lending, payments, treasury and capital markets, and universal banking for banks to support direct banking relationships and grow through indirect channels, such as embedded finance and Banking as a Service. 

Kell joined Finastra as senior vice president, and head of finance in July 2020. She brings 20 years of finance, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, sales operations, and global leadership expertise to the company. Before joining Finastra, Kell spent several years as a finance executive at Quest Software. She also spent five years at Dell Technologies in various finance leadership positions, including Divisional CFO of the North America Small & Medium Business segment, a $7 billion business. Prior to Dell, she held various finance roles at Medtronic, a global producer of medical devices and therapies, and Sprint Nextel, an American telecommunications company. Kell holds an MBA from the University of Kansas and a bachelor’s in business administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

 

3. Todd Wilson
Chief Financial Officer, Red Robin

Todd Wilson was named Chief Financial Officer of Red Robin in November 2022. Founded in Seattle in 1969, Red Robin is a chain of casual dining restaurants with more than 500 locations. As Red Robin’s CFO, Wilson is responsible for all of the company’s financial disciplines including accounting, financial planning & analysis, tax, treasury, and investor relations.

Prior to joining Red Robin, Wilson served as the CFO for Hopdoddy Burger Bar, a privately held L Catterton Growth portfolio company, where he engineered significant operating margin expansion, doubled unit count through organic growth & acquisition, and completed two successful debt refinancings. Wilson’s other prior roles include VP, finance for Jamba Juice, where he led finance & investor relations, and spearheaded the process that culminated in a successful strategic sale of the company. Prior to that, he served in progressive financial leadership roles at Bloomin’ Brands, and in his final four years at Bloomin’, Wilson served as division CFO and VP finance for Carrabba’s Italian Grill, leading the brand to record sales and profitability in his final year. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of South Florida.

 

4. Mike Eklund
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Chamberlain Group

Mike Eklund is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Chamberlain Group, a global leader in intelligent access and Blackstone portfolio company. Its products and software solutions comprise a myQ ecosystem that delivers secure access to people's homes and businesses. Eklund has served nearly 30 years in finance, possessing vast experience in financial and operations leadership in both public and private companies, as well as extensive experience in private equity and mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining Chamberlain Group, Eklund held multiple CFO rotations in private equity-backed companies. Most recently, Eklund served as CFO of Shutterfly. Prior to that, Eklund held roles as CFO and COO of Blackstone-owned DJO Global and CFO of Scientific Games. Earlier in his career, Eklund held key finance and operational roles during a 20-year span with Dell. Eklund graduated with an MBA and an undergraduate degree in accounting.

 

5. Thomas Kiraly
Chief Financial Officer, Hanger

Thomas Kiraly has been Hanger’s Chief Financial Officer since January 2015. For 160 years, Hanger, Inc. has provided comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic services through its Patient Care segment, with more than 900 Hanger Clinic locations nationwide. Through its Products & Services segment, Hanger distributes branded and private label O&P devices, products, and components, and provides rehabilitative solutions.

Prior to joining Hanger, Kiraly served as the executive vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of Sheridan Healthcare, Inc., a provider of anesthesia, radiology, emergency, and neonatology services. Kiraly was also executive vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of Concentra, Inc., a provider of urgent care, occupational health care, and other health care services. After Concentra’s acquisition by Humana, Inc. in 2010, Kiraly transitioned to the position of vice president of finance for Humana and was responsible for corporate financial forecasting, analysis, internal reporting, and accounting operations. Kiraly also previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of BRC Holdings, Inc. Kiraly holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelor’s in speech communication from California State University, Northridge.

 

6. Thomas Seifert
Chief Financial Officer, Cloudflare

Thomas Seifert has served as Chief Financial Officer of Cloudflare since June 2017. Cloudflare provides content delivery network services, cloud cybersecurity, DDoS mitigation, and ICANN-accredited domain registration services. As a connectivity cloud, Cloudflare helps connect and protect millions of customers, including some of the world’s largest corporations. 

Prior to joining Cloudflare, Seifert served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Symantec Corporation, a provider of cybersecurity software and services, and served in an advisory capacity to Symantec. Seifert also served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Brightstar Corp., a wireless distribution and services company. His other past positions include senior vice president and chief financial officer at Advanced Micro Devices Inc., a semiconductor company, where he additionally served as interim chief executive officer. Seifert currently serves as a member of the board of directors of First Derivatives plc, an ultra-high-performance analytics software company. He previously served on the board of directors of CompuGroup Medical SE, an eHealth provider, and IPG Photonics Corporation, a manufacturer of fiber lasers. Seifert holds a bachelor’s in business administration and an MBA from Friedrich Alexander University, and a master’s in mathematics and economics from Wayne State University.

 

7. Jason Friesen
Chief Financial Officer, Kendra Scott

Jason Friesen has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in finance and executive management. Since 2020, Friesen has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Kendra Scott, a jewelry brand currently valued at over $1 billion, that also encompasses fashion jewelry, fine jewelry, home accessories, nail lacquer, and beauty products. Throughout his career, he gained experience in corporate finance, strategy, turnaround services, and key account relationships. 

Prior to his current role, Friesen held the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer at Childcare Network, Inc., where he helped increase revenue and EBITDA by double digits. His other prior roles include CFO of Help at Home LLC, multiple positions at Career Education Corporation, including senior vice president and president/chief university group education officer, where he developed a transformation plan to improve profitability, and senior vice president and president of the Health Education Business Unit. Friesen also worked at Sears Holdings Corporation as VP of merchandise finance and VP of finance, specialty retail. Friesen began his career at Arthur Andersen. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Indiana University and earned his MBA degree with a focus on finance and marketing from the University of Chicago.

 

8. Dave Piazza (Tie)
Chief Financial Officer, Enverus

Dave joined Enverus in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer. Enverus is a single-source platform for management, development, and acquisition, within the entire energy value chain. From early-stage investment to full-scale development, the company provides the intelligence, analysis, and speed to support energy strategy. Its customers discover previously unseen insights and opportunities. 

Prior to his current role, Piazza was CFO for QuadraMed Corporation, selling software and services to hospitals and other healthcare providers. He also served as its head of services and implementation as the company successfully transitioned from a public to a private company in a private transaction. Before that, he was CFO at Gemplex. Earlier in his career, he worked with MFS Communications in senior financial and operations positions. Piazza started his career at Arthur Andersen. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

 

8. Ryan Moore (Tie)
Chief Financial Officer, Torchy's Tacos

Ryan Moore is the Chief Financial Officer of Torchy's Tacos, a restaurant chain that began as a food truck and expanded to over 100 locations in 14 states, over the past 17 years. In 2020, Torchy's sold a stake to an investor group led by global private equity firm General Atlantic, for $400 million. 

Moore's expertise lies in fueling growth, profitability, and innovation by optimizing financial processes, strengthening controls, and controlling budgets. He has a proven track record of generating significant operating profits, reducing costs, and delivering impressive financial results. Moore's recent accomplishments include generating over $600 million in operating profit, creating $20 million per year in interest savings, and reducing G&A and CAPEX spending by over $50 million. Before joining Torchy's Tacos, Moore was a VP of finance at Taco Bell. In his over 10 years at the company, he gained extensive restaurant experience and his contributions resulted in multiple promotions and executive board appointments. Before that, he was an assistant brand manager, spirits & private label at E. & J. Gallo Winery. Earlier in his career, he worked with PwC as a senior audit associate, assurance and business advisory services. Moore holds an MBA degree from Duke University and is a licensed CPA.

 

9. Salman Rashid
Chief Financial Officer, Woolpert

Salman Rashid began his professional career 32 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Financial Officer of Woolpert, an architecture, engineering, geospatial (AEG), and strategic consulting firm that serves public, private, and government clients worldwide. Woolpert has over 2,000 employees and more than 60 offices on five continents. 

Rashid began his career as a Staff Scientist at Jetfill Inc. before moving on to work as a manager in business consulting at Arthur Andersen. Rashid then joined Accenture as a manager in supply chain consulting. In 2002, Rashid started his tenure at Dell Technologies, where he held multiple roles, including the mergers & integration lead for the Dell and EMC merger, the largest in the history of technology companies. Rashid also served as the CFO of Dell Services - BPO and was CFO and head of pricing for the Middle East and Emerging Markets at Dell, where he managed a $500 million P&L and improved margin profiles through the introduction of trained pricing specialists and robust processes. Following his time at Dell, Rashid worked as the CFO and COO at Edgile, a cybersecurity consulting firm. During his tenure, the company was successfully sold to Wipro for $230 million. Rashid then joined Astreya as the CFO. Before his current role at Woolpert as the Chief Financial Officer, Rashid served as the CFO of QuickStart Inc., where he secured $5 million in VC funding and served on the company's leadership team. Rashid received his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business.

 

10. Mason Rathe
Chief Financial Officer, SchooLinks

Mason Rathe is the Chief Financial Officer at SchooLinks, a college and career readiness platform with curriculum that engages students throughout the process of career education and college planning and application. Its machine learning algorithms leverage data to personalize college recommendations and content to further drive student engagement. SchooLinks also provides insights to counselors, and on a district level, the company’s data models power a full suite of accountability tools to allow administrators to monitor and achieve desired college and career readiness outcomes.

Rathe is the Founder and Publisher of the Texas Deal Highlights Newsletters. His other prior roles include senior associate at LiveOak Venture Partners, relationship manager, venture capital group at Comerica Bank, and senior associate at US Capital Partners. Rathe has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin - Red McCombs School of Business, with a focus on private equity and real estate finance. Rathe also has a bachelor’s in economics and accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a minor in the Technology Management Program. Additionally, Rathe has a Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law license from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, a Series 79 Investment Banking Representative license from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and a California Real Estate Broker License from the State of California, Department of Real Estate.

 

11. Daniel O'Quinn
Chief Financial Officer, SciPlay

Daniel O'Quinn is the Chief Financial Officer of SciPlay, a leading developer and publisher of digital games on mobile and web platforms, providing highly entertaining free-to-play. SciPlay utilizes a disciplined, data-driven approach to create a portfolio of games that spans markets and appeals to a wide range of players and gathers and analyzes data to fine-tune the gameplay experience and enrich its games. 

O'Quinn has 18 years of experience in private equity, global Fortune 500, and public accounting (Big 4) environments with a mix of mergers and acquisitions, integrations, public offerings, operational finance, and corporate and public accounting, beginning his career in 2006. Before joining SciPlay, O'Quinn was a controller of extended business lines at Learfield IMG College and before that a manager of financial reporting at CVSL. Earlier in his career, he worked with KPMG LLP as a senior associate. O'Quinn graduated from Texas State University with an undergraduate degree in accounting.

 

12. Eric Jenny
Chief Financial Officer, SOCi

Eric Jenny is the Chief Financial Officer of SOCi, a CoMarketing Cloud for multi-location enterprises. SOCi automates essential workflows at scale, enabling businesses to strengthen their digital presence across local search and social media platforms and safeguard their online reputation.  

Jenny has over 15 years of finance and operational experience across private and public sectors, with deep industry expertise in high-growth SaaS technology start-ups. Throughout his career, he managed global finance and operations, IT infrastructure, M&A, tax, and accounting, while also securing his last company a successful acquisition by Mimecast (MIME). 

Jenny first got his start in 2008 as a senior associate - assurance, CPA at RSM US LLP. From there, he went on to Place., before eventually rising to CFO at iSheriff, his most recent position before joining SOCi. Jenny graduated from San Diego State University with an undergraduate degree in accounting.

 

13. John Pence
Chief Financial Officer, Asure

John Pence joined Asure in 2020, currently serving as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, a software company that offers human capital management (HCM) solutions, including payroll, time & attendance, talent management, human resource management, benefits administration, and insurance services. The company’s HCM software is delivered via the cloud and is available on a subscription basis. 

Pence has nearly 30 years of leadership experience in accounting, finance, and operations at a variety of publicly traded and privately held technology companies. As CFO of Asure, he oversees corporate finance and strategy, with a focus on business growth. Previously, Pence was an operating advisor at Recurring Capital Partners and before that a director at Green Builders Inc. Earlier in his career he worked with Arthur Andersen & Co. as a senior manager in Dallas, TX. Pence earned an undergraduate degree in accounting & finance from Texas McCombs School of Business.

 

14. Joe Picciano
Chief Financial Officer, Prodege

Joe Picciano is the Chief Financial Officer of Prodege, a marketing and consumer insights platform, that helps brands, marketers, and agencies acquire new customers, increase revenue, and drive brand loyalty & product adoption. The company develops consumer rewards and polling programs under various brands including Swagbucks, MyPoints, InboxDollars, CouponCause, Tada, Ysense, Upromise, and Pollfish.

Picciano has 13 years of experience. Before joining Prodege, Picciano was a director of finance and business intelligence at CSC Generation and before that, an associate portfolio manager at Associate Portfolio Manager. Earlier in his career, he worked with Prudential Capital Group as a senior investment analyst. Picciano graduated from Rutgers Business School with an undergraduate degree in finance.

 

15. George Gogonas
Chief Financial Officer, Education Service Center Region 13

George Gogonas is the Chief Financial Officer of Education Service Center Region 13, an organization that supports school districts through collaborative leadership and providing quality products and services that ensure student success and operational efficiency. Gogonas has a strong background in long-term financial planning, strategy development and organizational and process improvement. As Chief Financial Officer, Gogonas is committed to financial excellence and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.

Previously, Gogonas was the Executive Director of Financial Services at Austin Independent School District. Gogonas graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with an MBA and from Augustana College with a BA in Business Administition.

 

16. Kathie Jones
Chief Financial Officer, Venture Capital Backed, Juniper Square

Kathie Jones began her professional career 30 years ago. Today, she is the Chief Financial Officer of Juniper Square. Juniper Square provides a unified solution across the investment lifecycle—from fundraising and investor operations to fund administration. Partnership Enablement empowers GPs and LPs to connect and communicate across every interaction. The company supports commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital firms of all sizes.

As CFO of Juniper Square, Jones bolsters and manages financial planning, financial systems, and controls to support the company’s growth. She is also responsible for ensuring activities across the organization are in compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other statutory guidelines while establishing new standards for internal policies and procedures to meet evolving regulatory requirements. Jones first got her start in 1994 as an assistant controller of O'Neal Constructors at O'Neal, Inc. From there, she went on to The South Financial Group, before eventually rising to chief financial officer/private equity backed/vista equity partners at Khoros, her most recent position prior to joining Juniper Square. Jones received her undergraduate degree from Winthrop University.

 

17. Eric Strawbridge
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, ADVI Health

Over the course of his career, Eric Strawbridge has worked in multiple professional areas including wealth management, mergers and acquisitions, capital financing, and foreign currency exchange, to name a few. He brings these experiences to bear on his roles as CFO of ADVI, where he manages the firm’s financial, accounting, and operational needs to achieve enterprise mobility.

Strawbridge's professional life began in financial services. He supported businesses as an
internal and external auditor, and by acting as an expert with revenue recognition
and internal processes. His previous places of employment include Padgett, Stratemann & Co and Brown, Graham & Co. Strawbridge was also a lead expert with seven years of litigation support on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles disputes and investigations. Strawbridge is a certified public accountant and holds a B.A. in accounting from Southwestern University.

 

18. Karen Flaherty
Chief Financial Officer, Elligo Health Research

Karen Flaherty first joined Elligo Health Research in 2017, currently serving as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Elligo Health Research accelerates clinical trials through EHR data, its proprietary IntElligo® technology, and direct access to known, diverse patients from more than 115 hospitals and major health systems, 200 healthcare-based sites, and 100 research-based sites. 

Flaherty has over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting. A large part of her career has revolved around clinical research in various capacities, including financial planning and analysis, sales analysis, project cost accounting, contracts and proposal development, financial systems implementation, and general accounting. Previously, Flaherty was a CFO at Plantstrong (formerly Engine 2) and before that, director of operations finance at Prior 2 Company. Earlier in her career she worked with Fluor Corporation as a project cost analyst. Flaherty earned a master’s degree in accounting from McCoy College of Business at Texas State University and an undergraduate degree in finance and marketing from The University of Texas at Austin.

 

19. Garrett Sparling (Tie)
Chief Financial Officer, AlertMedia

Garrett Sparling is the CFO at AlertMedia, an emergency communication provider. The company’s two-way multi-channel messaging system, threat intelligence, and 24/7 employee safety solutions help organizations protect their people and businesses through emergencies. AlertMedia supports critical communication for thousands of businesses—including DHL, JetBlue, Coca-Cola Bottling, and Walmart—in more than 130 countries. 

Sparling has 16 years of experience and began his career in 2008. Before joining AlertMedia, Sparling was a vice president of finance at Civitas Learning and before that, a director of finance at TabbedOut. Earlier in his career, he worked with NetQoS (acquired by CA Technologies) as an accountant. Sparling received his bachelor’s in corporate finance from the Texas McCombs School of Business.

 

19. Don Neville (Tie)
Chief Financial Officer, e4health

Don Neville began his professional career 36 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Financial Officer of e4health. Serving more than 400 health systems and providers nationwide, e4health provides healthcare solutions in the mid-revenue cycle. Neville brings his experience in financial reporting, corporate finance, treasury operations, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings, turnaround situations, and SEC reporting to his role. 

Neville is a seasoned executive with a strong operating background and more than 30 years of broad management and military experience. He has had several CEO and CFO roles in high-growth technology companies and turnaround situations. Neville first got his start in 1988 as a manager at Deloitte & Touche. From there, he went on to TMD, before eventually rising to managing director at Rex, his most recent position before joining e4health. Neville graduated from Fordham University with an undergraduate degree in accounting.

 

20. Oon Ung
Chief Financial Officer, HNI Healthcare

Oon Ung is the Chief Financial Officer of HNI Healthcare. The company designs intelligent processes and technology to align physicians with their hospital partners, strengthening and integrating hospital medicine programs. Its hospital medicine software suite, VitalsMD®, holds numerous patents, and HNI Healthcare is also home to its exclusive HNICORE program, a comprehensive training and thought leadership program that provides support for physician services, provider relations, performance improvement, and ongoing clinician education. 

Previously, Ung was a regional vice president of finance at Ascension Texas/Seton Healthcare Family and before that a CFO/ associate executive director at the University of South Florida Physician Group/USF Health. Earlier in his career, he worked with Ernst & Young as a public accountant. Ung earned an MBA in business administration from the University of Central Florida and an undergraduate degree in finance & accounting from the University of Western Australia.

 

21. Jennifer Parker-Snider
Chief Financial Officer, SpyCloud

Jennifer Parker-Snider currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of SpyCloud. SpyCloud transforms recaptured darknet data to protect businesses from cyberattacks. Its products operationalize Cybercrime Analytics (C2A) to produce actionable insights that allow enterprises to proactively prevent ransomware and account takeover, protect their business from consumer fraud losses, and investigate cybercrime incidents. Its unique data from breaches, malware-infected devices, and other underground sources also powers many popular dark web monitoring and identity theft protection offerings. 

Parker-Snider has over 30 years of global financial and operational leadership with expertise in strategic planning, financial management, legal and risk compliance, human resources, and revenue operations. Her responsibilities and scope have ranged from early-stage, fast-growth start-ups to publicly traded, multinational organizations including Apple, HP, and Arthur Andersen. Parker-Snider has worked in the cybersecurity industry for over 20 years, notably in network security and SaaS-based fraud prevention for the global enterprise. Prior to joining SpyCloud, Parker-Snider was Chief Financial Officer at NSS Labs, a cybersecurity research and testing company. Before NSS Labs, Parker-Snider served as vice president at Click Security as well as director of worldwide sales operations for HP’s Enterprise Security Products Group. Parker-Snider joined HP through its acquisition of 3Com and previously TippingPoint Technologies, where she served as director of finance. Prior to her two decades in cybersecurity, Parker-Snider led finance teams for Apple, Inc. in Australia, Singapore, and Cupertino, and worked at Arthur Andersen in the Strategic Valuation Services Group. Parker-Snider holds a bachelor’s in business administration from the Farmer School of Business of Miami University and an MBA from Northern Illinois University.

 

22. Nancy Spencer
Chief Financial Officer, Aceable

Nancy Spencer began her professional career 19 years ago. Today, she is the Chief Financial Officer of Aceable. Originating with the launch of its initial mobile app offering accredited driver's ed courses, Aceable has expanded into various certification verticals, including its recent venture into real estate continuing education. The company offers over 1000 hours of educational course content. 

Spencer is an experienced finance and accounting leader who has worked in multiple industries, with a focus on tech and real estate. Her background includes technical skills in internal audit, U.S. sec filings, assurance, auditing, accounting, financial modeling, budget creation and analysis, risk mitigation, and operational strategy. Spencer first got her start in 2005 as a senior manager in assurance service at Ernst & Young, before eventually rising to operational controller at Google, her most recent position prior to joining Aceable. Spencer graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with an MPA in accounting & finance and with an undergraduate degree in accounting and finance.

 

23. Christine Mallory
Chief Financial Officer, AllClear ID

Christine Mallory is the Chief Financial Officer of AllClear ID. She first joined the company in 2014. AllClear ID is introducing patient-centric, mobile IDs that travel with the patient across different EHRs and care delivery channels—in-person, online, and by phone. It allows healthcare providers to eliminate long-standing patient misidentification problems while unleashing digital health innovation with mobile convenience and banking-grade security. As AllClear ID’s CFO, Mallory oversees all aspects of financial operations including accounting, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, tax and treasury. 

Mallory is an accomplished financial executive with over 20 years of experience. She has raised over $200M in capital and closed half a dozen M&A transactions. Prior to AllClear, Mallory held global financial leadership positions at several privately held technology companies including BlueSpace Software, Patton Surgical, and Evolutionary Technologies International. She began her career at the public accounting firm BDO followed by a stint as International Accounting Manager at Activision (ATVI). Mallory earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from Texas State University and is a licensed CPA.

 

24. Dominic Bortolussi
Chief Financial Officer, Briza

Dominic Bortolussi is the Chief Financial Officer of Briza. Briza is a unified API for small business commercial insurance. The company serves as a technology partner for insurance carriers, distributors, independent agencies, brokerages, and national wholesalers who want to build modern, efficient digital marketplaces for the procurement of small business lines. Developers tap into one API and access multiple carriers’ automated underwriting models, enabling ease of quoting, binding, and payment functionalities within the user experiences. 

Bortolussi has 26 years of experience, beginning his career in 2002 at Capgemini, where he worked as a consultant in the Accelerated Solution Environment. During his four years at Capgemini, he supported major transformations and realignments in Fortune 500 corporations. In 2006, he founded The Working Group, which was acquired by Deloitte Canada in 2021. His other past roles include advisor to Retreat Guru, executive advisor for Ideaboost Accelerator at the Canadian Film Centre, and advisor to Big Terminal and FRNT Financial. In 2016, he founded and led Caravan Ventures, a collective of founders supporting Canadian entrepreneurs. In 2018, he co-founded Global Skills Hub. Bortolussi earned bachelor's degrees in philosophy and evolutionary biology from Queen’s University.

 

25. Heath Hindman
Chief Financial Officer, Cycorp

Heath Hindman is CFO of Cycorp, a provider of Machine Reasoning AI. The CYC platform combines codified human common sense and knowledge with a powerful reasoning engine for human-like machine cognitive processing. CYC Machine Reasoning AI can transform or augment complex, human workloads, especially for higher-risk use cases, industries, or regulatory environments.

Hindman brings over 25 years of broad-based financial and operational experience to the executive team. He has built his career as a finance executive around helping technology companies scale through the market and international expansion, organic growth, and acquisitions. Hindman leads all aspects of the company’s financial strategy including operations, financial planning, accounting, human resources, financial systems, and treasury. Prior to joining Cycorp, Hindman held various operational and financial leadership roles at Overhaul Group, Bridgepoint Consulting, and LifeSize Communications and was an auditor at Ernst & Young. Hindman is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Louisiana State University.
