FTC Solar Inc., a prominent player in the solar energy industry, has recently announced the appointment of Cathy Behnen as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Behnen, who has been serving as the Interim CFO since November 2023, brings a wealth of financial leadership and industry expertise to her new role.
Shaker Sadasivam, Chairman of the Board of FTC Solar, expressed his enthusiasm for Behnen's appointment, citing her comprehensive understanding of FTC Solar, the tracker and finance markets, and her deep technical knowledge. Sadasivam commended Behen stating, “Her record of finance leadership, together with her performance as interim CFO have clearly demonstrated her suitability to become FTC’s permanent CFO. The Board looks forward to working with Cathy as we continue to position the company for long-term profitable growth.”
Behnen, now officially CFO, said, “It’s a privilege to become CFO and help lead a company with such great potential. Before assuming the role of Interim CFO, Behnen served as FTC's Chief Accounting Officer since 2020. With over 20 years of financial leadership experience, her background includes roles such as CFO and VP of Finance at Penn National Gaming Hollywood Casino Jamul – San Diego, as well as a Partner at the esteemed accounting firm RubinBrown. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from St. Louis University, further solidifying her financial acumen.
