Mark Taggart Assumes CFO Role at Toyota Material Handling North America

Mark Taggart, former president and CEO of Toyota Industries Commercial Finance (TICF), has stepped into the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) effective April 1, 2024. Taggart brings with him a wealth of experience within the Toyota group of companies, having held various leadership positions since joining in 1996.

In his new capacity as TMHNA CFO, Taggart will be responsible for shaping the financial strategy of TMHNA's major group entities, including Toyota Material Handling and The Raymond Corporation. Operating from his office in Coppell, Texas, Taggart aims to introduce efficient solutions that drive fiscal responsibility and success, aligning with Toyota's culture of continuous improvement, known as kaizen.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, Taggart stated, "I am honored to step into this new role and look forward to further aligning the financial goals of TMHNA and all Toyota group companies. Through the consolidated resources of TMHNA, our goal is to always put our customers first with the best experience in each phase of the ownership lifecycle. I am excited about the future and look forward to continuing to work together toward our vision of being the most sought-after material handling, logistics, and financial services partner in the industry."

Taggart's extensive tenure within the Toyota group has been marked by consistent profitable sales growth and a steadfast commitment to providing outstanding service to dealers and customers. His strategic vision has played a pivotal role in shaping the company's global footprint, with significant milestones such as the establishment of Toyota Financial Savings Bank (TFSB) in 2005.

During a pivotal assignment in Japan in 2012, Taggart assumed key leadership roles at Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC), culminating in his promotion to vice president. His contributions were instrumental in the founding of Toyota Financial Services International Corporation, TFSC's second global headquarters, upon his return to the United States.

Prior to his role at TICF, Taggart served as president and CEO of TFSB, further highlighting his capabilities and positioning him for success as TMHNA's CFO.

In light of Taggart's transition, John Crews, TICF General Counsel, Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer, will succeed Taggart as TICF President. This succession marks a new chapter for both Taggart and TICF as they continue to contribute to the success of the Toyota group of companies.
