New Relic Appoints Ashish Agarwal as Chief Financial Officer

New Relic, the leading all-in-one observability platform designed to empower engineers with data-driven insights, has announced the appointment of Ashish Agarwal as the company’s next Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Agarwal, a seasoned business leader with nearly three decades of experience in corporate finance within the technology sector, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. He has a proven track record of successfully leading the financial strategies of high-growth companies, making him well-suited to further strengthen New Relic's strategic direction.

In his capacity as CFO, Agarwal will oversee global finance operations, leveraging his extensive experience to drive the company's growth initiatives. He assumes the CFO role from David Barter, further solidifying New Relic's commitment to fostering top-tier talent within its leadership team.

Agarwal's impressive career includes serving as the interim CFO and senior vice president of strategy and corporate development at McAfee, where he played a pivotal role in leading mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and business development activities, including overseeing the company's $936 million IPO and a $14 billion private sale.

Prior to his tenure at McAfee, Agarwal held key positions at prominent technology firms such as Akamai Technologies and Symantec, where he spearheaded numerous acquisitions, divestitures, and business development initiatives. He received his MBA from The Wharton School and a bachelor’s in economics from Delhi University.
